I'm big on listening to the Holy Spirit.
I preach it, I advocate it, I even walk the talk sometimes.
But other times I exhibit "suffer-head tendencies".
(God help me.)
I know He's speaking to me, I know I should do what he's saying but I insist to do things my own way, even when I know I don't know better.
But yesterday was not one of those times.
I had just received my second rejection from a scholarship to a bootcamp I really wanted to be a part of.
I'd poured out almost all my heart into applying for it.
Mehn...
I know I kid myself about being good at handling rejections.
But at this moment, I was down in the dumps, licking my wounds when He told me, "Go and reply the reject email."
I mean, it didn't make sense to me. At all.
I'd missed the scholarship, they'd already started the bootcamp. It was over.
But I didn't fight Him. I picked up my phone, switched it on and sent them
"Thanks for letting me know."
Deep down inside my mind, I knew it was pointless.
Or was it?
This morning I got a mail from them saying that I had been selected to join the bootcamp, with a replay link to the session I missed yesterday.
😎😎😎
What if I hadn't listened?
Just thinking about it.
