A lesson on obedience.

I'm big on listening to the Holy Spirit.
I preach it, I advocate it, I even walk the talk sometimes.

But other times I exhibit "suffer-head tendencies".
(God help me.)

I know He's speaking to me, I know I should do what he's saying but I insist to do things my own way, even when I know I don't know better.

But yesterday was not one of those times.

I had just received my second rejection from a scholarship to a bootcamp I really wanted to be a part of.
I'd poured out almost all my heart into applying for it.

Mehn...
I know I kid myself about being good at handling rejections.
But at this moment, I was down in the dumps, licking my wounds when He told me, "Go and reply the reject email."

I mean, it didn't make sense to me. At all.
I'd missed the scholarship, they'd already started the bootcamp. It was over.

But I didn't fight Him. I picked up my phone, switched it on and sent them
"Thanks for letting me know."

Deep down inside my mind, I knew it was pointless.
Or was it?

This morning I got a mail from them saying that I had been selected to join the bootcamp, with a replay link to the session I missed yesterday.
😎😎😎

What if I hadn't listened?

Just thinking about it.

This is like the sweetest feeling in the world I pull him into my bosom and hug him, then I pick him up and head towards the kitchen. My darling husband is there with the girls, as they try so hard to replicate my new sushi recipe. It's Saturday, and everybody is home. Breakfast will soon be ready and... INTERMISSION Everybody has a dream, no matter how tiny. Something you look forward to. Something you long for. Something you wish for. That feeling that comes with having your dreams fulfilled, that's happiness. That feeling of no care for the world, that's happiness. That feeling of contentment, security, and gratitude, that's happiness. That feeling when you care about what the world thinks about you, that's happiness. That feeling whe...
